Clinic

Where are you located?

We are located at 10200 SW Eastridge Street, Suite 105  Portland, OR 97225, near the intersection of Highway 217 and Highway 26, by Providence St. Vincent and the Beaverton DMV.
 

What kind of services do you provide?

Center for Cognitive Health is a Neurology clinic offering extensive evaluations in order to help patients maximize their cognitive function as they cope with Alzheimer’s disease or other disorders of thinking. We also offer opportunities to participate in clinical research studies related to Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease. Do I need a referral to schedule a clinic appointment?

Referrals and previous doctors notes are helpful when scheduling with our clinic, but they are not required. Prior to scheduling with our clinic, you will be asked to complete our New Patient Paperwork to help us determine how best to help you. The New Patient Paperwork can be found under ‘Our Clinic’ under the ‘About’ tab above.
 

Do you offer same-day appointments?

We are unable to accommodate same-day appointments. It can take up to 14 days to schedule you for a clinic appointment. If you submitted the New Patient Paperwork and have not heard back in over a week, please give us a call.
 

Do you accept Medicaid/Medicare?

Unfortunately, due to lack of coverage and reimbursement, we are unable to accept these insurance plans. We are also unable to accept CareOregon and other Oregon Health Plans.
 

Do you offer medical imaging?

We do not have onsite imaging capabilities. If your diagnosis requires imaging, our staff will refer you to an imaging facility that will send us the results upon completion. Medical imaging is usually covered by Medicare or supplemental insurance plans. 

 

 Research

Do I need a Study Partner to participate?

Yes, our clinical trials require you to have a study partner. This is someone that spends at least 10 hours per week with you to help track your progress throughout the trial. Your study partner will be interviewed about your health and memory and is required to attend most study visits.


Can you assign me a Study Partner?

Unfortunately, we are unable to assign study partners to our participants. 


Do you offer weekend appointments?

We offer clinic and research appointments Monday through Thursday during our business hours of 9:00am-4:00pm. 


How much does it cost to participate in research studies?

Our clinical trials are completely voluntary and free to participate in if you qualify. Any study related costs are covered by the study sponsor.
 

What are the risks of participating in your research?

Patient safety is our top priority. There may by unpleasant side effects related to the study drug, or the experimental treatment may not be effective. Any risks and potential side effects are discussed in detail during the consent process at your first visit. A copy of the consent form can be provided to you and your study partner upon request.
