Michael Mega, MD, PhD

Dr. Mega is a Cognitive Neurologist who trained at UCLA where he also obtained his PhD in Neuroscience with an emphasis on structural and functional brain mapping. He directed the Memory Disorders clinic at UCLA from 1996-2002 as well as the Alzheimer Center’s imaging core. He came to Providence Saint Vincent’s in 2004 and directed the Cognitive Assessment Clinic until 2015 when he began the Center for Cognitive Health. He has published multiple scientific papers, book chapters, and a textbook contributing to the field of cognitive neuroscience. View Dr. Mega’s CV here.

Nicole Kaye, MS

Nicole is a Clinical Research Coordinator and Psychometrist for the clinic. She graduated with a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology from Arizona State University. Nicole has personal experience with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s disease and is committed to supporting individuals and their families that may also be dealing with a similar diagnosis. Since moving to Portland, Nicole spends her time exploring the city and enjoying the nature that Oregon has to offer.

Chad Deroy, BS

Chad is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the clinic. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from High Point University. Chad is committed to learning more about neurodegenerative disorders because his father passed away in 2022 after a difficult battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He hopes his time at the clinic will lead him on a worthwhile career of helping individuals and their families battle these terrible diseases. Having recently moved to the West Coast, he currently enjoys exploring all the natural beauty of the PNW.
